The Road to Cafe Beaujolais

Written for William Shatner's birthday in the year 2000
Summary: Jim gives Spock a lecture.
Written on a small porch in Mendocino, CA, this is my little celebration of JTK/WS's birthday.
Thanks to Isla for sitting on the porch with me and betaing instantaneously.

"There's the Little Dipper."

"Impossible. Our present latitude precludes Ursa Minor from being located in the direction in which you are indicating."

"Hey. Watch the road--not me--even if you do find me irresistibly attractive. I'd like to make my birthday dinner reservation at Cafe Beaujolais which *you* arranged." He grinned, watching Spock's eyebrow rise.

Cool evening air rushed through the convertible. He leaned back to stare at the stars. Home.

"Jim. Your suggestion that you are irresistibly attractive is incorrect. I resisted you for three years."

He chuckled. "What *did* I say three years ago? Resistance is futile."
