T'hy'la
by Beth (vulcangirl_84@yahoo.com)

Warm, bright hazel eyes
See right into my soul
The depth of my emotion there
Only you can know

Others see the cold facade
And think I am unfeeling
But to you, who know me best of all
A glint in my eye is revealing

I am a Vulcan, cold and proud
Or so it is generally believed
But you, who are closest to my heart
Are not for a moment deceived

You are my t'hy'la
In all but blood a brother
A closeness like this I have never
Known with any other

Vulcans suppress emotion
Yet I long to set mine free
So I can finally tell you
Just what your friendship means to me
