Honor Thy Father, and Thy Mother

The Judeo-Christian tradition of Earth provides the rule "Honor thy father and thy mother." Presented with a father in critical condition and a mother who would have me deny all he values in order to save him, I would not be able to find answers from the Hebrew Bible. Choosing which parent to honor is not addressed in the ten commandments.

I am pleased to be a disciple of logic. Logic took away my choice and spared me the stress of the decision.

Of course, I am quite relieved that my captain, in turn, took the choice away from logic.
